Words can change the world! Just think about how words from the Bible, the Koran, the US Constitution, and the Emancipation Proclamation have impacted our history over time. That is why I’ve named this blog “Word Power”.
Words….they’ve been my hobby, they’ve been my livelihood. Words, they are a part of what makes us human. Each week I will show you how words can impact life. I’ll share with you sayings, quotes, and my own personally created phrases that in these trying times I hope will help you get through your day. There will also be “Fun with language” or how we kill the kings English bloopers. You can look forward to articles that deal with old vs. new methods of communications’ use of words.
I’m also on a mission to “dejargon” the world. To show you how getting rid of the alphabet soup that we are drowning in makes your communications more powerful. And there will also be tips for writing for the everyday world including how to create better social media posts, pack more punch into tweets, and make your e-mails say things clearly not sound like a text message from a teenager.
